Decrease the swabs, decrease the cases.
With the data transmitted in the latest Covid-19 bulletin, Kenya has exceeded 8000 infections, of which 5489 are still active in the country and about a thousand hospitalized patients are estimated.
The Ministry of Health, after President Kenyatta's national press conference, delivered a statement to the media confirming 181 new positives out of 2131 swabs analyzed. The total number of cases thus reached 8,067, while 127 healings were recorded, which allowed as many patients to be discharged from hospital or isolation facilities and brought the number of patients cured of the Coronavirus to 2414.
In contrast, 4 other patients succumbed to the disease, bringing the total number of deaths from March 2020 to 164. 
Of the 181 cases on Monday 6 July, 123 were male and 58 female. The youngest was a 4-month-old infant, while the oldest was identified as a 79-year-old.
The cases were distributed in the counties as follows: Nairobi 134, Kiambu 19, Mombasa 9, Kajiado 6, Machakos 6, Lamu 3, Murang'a 2, Uasin Gishu 1 and Kirinyaga 1.
Now it will be important to understand the Ministry of Health's strategy after President Kenyatta's decision to reopen the counties and to bring the country towards a gradual return to normality.
