Kenya reaches 10.000 Covid-19 cases

Only one dead, this is the good news

Kenya reaches 10,000 cases and joins the club of the 70 countries that have gone five figures, along with Australia. On Sunday, July 12, 379 positives were recorded in the last 24 hours, after 7050 swabs were analyzed.
The total number of infected people in the country rises to 10,105.
There was no press conference, but in the official statement of the Ministry of Health, it is specified that of the positive cases, 376 are Kenyan and 3 are foreign. Of these 253 are males and 126 are females and the youngest is a two-year-old child while the oldest is 97 years old.
As always, Nairobi is the county with the most patients (209) followed by Kiambu with 49, Busia on the border with Uganda with 38, Migori on the border with Tanania with 19. Mombasa is decreasing with only 16 cases, while in Lamu another 6 cases, in Usain-Gishu 8, Machakos and Nakuru 5.
Narok, Wajir and Kisumu each registered two cases, while Garissa, Isiolo, Kericho, Nyamira, Nyeri and Trans-Nzoia each registered one case.
Yesterday another 49 patients were discharged from healthcare facilities, bringing the total number of healings in the country to 2,881.
Unfortunately, during the same period, another patient succumbed to the disease, bringing the total number of deaths since 13 March 2020 to 185.
