Cases return to Kilifi County in the 24 hours between Friday 19th and Saturday 20th June.
Five patients were found positive for the swab in the Rabai quarantine centre and are now going to monitor their relatives and contacts.
The coast also recorded another outbreak, no less in court. Eleven members of the court staff were found to be affected by coronavirus and Supreme Court Chief Justice David Maraga has decided to close all judicial offices in the coastal city.
The day's bulletin, transmitted from Afya House in Nairobi by the Chief Administrative Secretary of Health, Rashid Abdi Aman, reports 104 new cases of Covid-19 in the country, compared to 2280 tests carried out.
Total positive cases in Kenya rose to 4,478 and the number of samples tested to 136,361. In the last 24 hours, 36 patients who had previously contracted the virus were discharged, bringing the number of cures to 1586 and the number of infections still active to 2771.
Unfortunately, two more patients have died, bringing the number of deaths recorded to 121.
Of the new confirmed cases, 76 are men and 28 women. The youngest positive is 1 year old and the oldest is 76 years old.
As it has been happening for about ten days now, Nairobi County is at the top of the list of Covid-19 cases: yesterday it reported 60 positives. Mombasa follows with 33, Kilifi with 5 cases, Busia (3)), Kajiado (2) and Taita Taveta (1).
In the sub-conteas, the distribution is as follows: Kibera (19), Lang'ata (22), Westlands (11), Dagoretti North (2), Embakasi East (1), Embakasi South (1), Mathare (2), Starehe (3) and Kasarani (1).
Mombasa has 22 cases, of which Mvita represents 8, Kisauni (5), Changamwe (13), Likoni (2), Jomvu (4) and Nyali (1).
Abdi Aman during the conference spoke about the psychological recovery of patients affected by Covid-19, explaining that the Government has put in place a program of social and health interventions for those who have suffered ostracism and hostility from their community because of the disease contracted.
"For all those who feel prejudiced against them - explained the Administrative Secretary - as well as for health workers, the Government has opened the toll-free numbers 1199 and 719 active 24 hours a day. Anyone who needs advice or to discuss the problems associated with Covid-19 can use it".
