Air Italy, from tomorrow no more Kenya flights

Solutions with different companies and dates

24-02-2020 by redazione

From tomorrow, Tuesday, February 25th, officially you can no longer come to Kenya from Italy with Air Italy charters and there will be some organizational inconvenience and "slamming" for those who had booked the return to Italy with the same company.
In fact, as the airline for which the bankruptcy petition was filed announced on February 12, the return flights to Mombasa (as well as to the other intercontinental destinations) until tomorrow, are in any case guaranteed by carriers provided by another operator (for Kenya and Zanzibar it was the Spanish company Wamos).
Now, instead, the problem of the return journey remains for those who, having the outward journey before February 25th, decided to leave anyway to Kenya.
Air Italy's website, after being blacked out for a few days, is back active and confirms that all the flights scheduled until February 25th have been regularly operated, for the tickets whose outward flight was scheduled before the deadline and the return flight from February 25th onwards, will be proposed a travel option on the first available flight of another carrier, which of course may not be the same day of the scheduled return, but a few days before or after. Alternatively, former Air Italy customers can give up the routes and ask for a refund.
All bookings for one-way or return flights with dates after February 25th will be refunded in full according to the procedures provided by writing to refunds@airitaly.com.
If through a ticket office, at every Ai Italy ticket office that is still open, if through an agency it will be necessary to ask the same.
For those who are in Kenya the number to contact is +39078952682
