Today, Kenya goes to the polls, ending with a sheet and pencil the most grueling pre-election path that the country remembers.
The feeling is that after so much wood prepared for fire and after so many verbal challenges and low strokes in the electoral campaign, the vote can put the word "end" to everything and resolve in a peaceful way, deflating the huge balloon balloon that has been gravitating for months over Kenya, with the threat of an explosion of violence after the announcement of the new President of the Republic.
In fact, from a recent poll, it would appear that 98% of Kenyans would not go to the streets to protest for either candidate, if the election commission declares that the scrutiny has been carried out in a clear way without being prejudiced.
In fact, the IEBC Commission has been conducting anti-sabotage operations in recent days concerning cases of local politicians who were outlawed by anti-democratic ballot papers and hastened to hatred, but also complained of attempts to buy votes.

"Kenyans have the great opportunity to demonstrate unity and mutual respect after these votes," Obama said, speaking of Kenya in Chicago, "I ask Uhuru and Raila to respect the outcome of the urns as well as have already announced that they want to. That all the population would trust the African saying, "We have not inherited our land from our forefathers, but we have borrowed it from our children."
Also in the evening came the appeal of the outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta who for the last time asked his fellow countrymen an exemplary and peaceful behavior, beginning this morning when almost twenty million voters will go to the seat.
