The new President of the Republic of Kenya, who will in all likelihood be Uhuru Kenyatta, to his second consecutive term, will still be officially later than what expected.
The IEBC Election Commission, which had previously announced the live broadcasting of the definitive figures for presidential voting at 14.30 local time (13.30 in Italy), made a statement about 16 for CEO Ezra Chiloba.
Chiloba has announced that not all final forms signed by district attorneys have been inspected for additional verifications that took time. In reality, they would only miss 2 of the 17, which was expected at the IEBC office at the Bomas Theater in Nairobi this morning.
Meanwhile, in the country, the situation is extremely quiet, awaiting the final result and reactions of the two great political factions.
