New DPCM, nothing change to travel in Kenya

Tourism ban confirmed, new restrictions for Christmas

04-12-2020 by redazione

No great news was expected for travel abroad beyond Europe in the new Prime Minister's Decree presented by Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte last night and so it was.
In the list of restrictions in view of the Christmas holidays, on the contrary, foreign countries are included because the obligation of quarantine on return from non-Schengen countries has been extended also to European countries, because for those who leave Italy there could be the opportunity to measure themselves with different and "light" restrictions (for example the activity of the ski lifts) and then return to the country with a contagion in progress, even if not immediately detected by the buffer. Hence the need, according to the Government, to apply 14-day isolation for them as well.
But as far as openings to other countries that until yesterday belonged to the E-band, in which Kenya is also included, are concerned, this will probably not be discussed until the end of January, as it had already been ventilated previously.
Surely in the next few days there will be more attention for those who will try to leave from Italian airports with only a tourist visa for countries where Italy on paper does not allow its citizens to travel. While, according to the DPCM, from 21st December to 6th January the restrictions will be even more supervised, as you will not be able to move, if not within your region of residence, not even to go to your second home, which for now, after presenting documents at the airport check-in, is possible. On 25th and 26th December and 1st January you will not be able to move from your municipality, except as usual for work, health or other demonstrable emergencies.
So for those who dream of the sun, the sea, the savannah and in general the beauty of Kenya there is still to wait, unless you want to risk (as someone is doing) to be rejected at the passport control of Malpensa or Fiumicino and lose your ticket with related costs. Given the fact that on return there will be quarantine.
