Next Thursday, 15 October, the Italian Government will confirm the effects of the new Prime Ministerial Decree (DPCM).
As far as the Italians dealing with Kenya are concerned, there will unfortunately be no change from the situation in the country after the reopening of the total lockdown.
This is because despite the fact that Kenya reopened to tourism from all over the world on 1 August last (reserving the right to restrict access by countries considered at risk, among which, however, Italy is not currently included), those who want to leave our country for leisure purposes or for reasons that do not fall into well-defined categories (such as work, residence and family reunification) cannot do so.
Although the social pages, groups and blogs are full of testimonies of those who "made it", malindikenya.net continues to invite its readers not to break the law, however unfair it may seem. Undoubtedly this could be fine for you, but in the meantime there is no telling what could happen when you return to your homeland, when you show up with a tourist visa stamped by the Kenyan authorities, or when in case of a new lockdown in Kenya, you should be forced to take a repatriation flight where in this case those who "poach" out of Italy as tourists may not be contemplated, or may be subject to a fine.
Anyone who wants to face this risk is well aware of the risks they are facing.
Beyond the fact that, after having bought the ticket, they could be rejected already on departure.
In any case, we offer you a refreshment to the rules, both outgoing from Italy to Kenya and entering Kenya from our country.
