Italy has decided to postpone until 10 August any decision regarding the reopening of tourism trips to countries around the world that are not part of the European Schengen Treaty.
The decision of the Conte government obviously does not only concern the aspect that Kenya and its tourism sector is interested in, but a whole series of rules and emergency restrictions linked to the DCPM that would expire tonight.
They have already made it known from Rome that there will be no new decree and that any new decision will be taken no earlier than 10 August next.
So those who want to go to Kenya can only do so if they are resident in that country, for work, health, family reunification or for proven urgency.
All the others will have to wait at least another 10 days, not only to go to Kenya but to almost all the countries of the world outside of Europe.
The obligation to quarantine in Italy also remains in force for all those who decide to return now from Kenya, as from other African countries.
