Since Kenyatta's proclamation, three days of calm have followed in the country, which have brought cautious optimism and already signs of recovery throughout Kenya. 
The majority of citizens, including those who were disappointed because they would have preferred to find themselves under the leadership of Raila Odinga, are pleased that this electoral chapter has ended and that the opposition has chosen (at least in Odinga's own words) the peaceful and legal ways to protest against what it calls a "dictatorship".
The positive signals come from the tourism sector, which is about to start again.
We are pleased that this long political crisis has come to an end,"the Kenya Tourist Federation writes in a communiqué," and we hope that the two political factions will soon sit at a common table to talk to each other. At the same time, we are convinced that the coming season will be the best season for Tourism in Kenya since 2007".
This hope is also shared by the entrepreneurs of the coast, who are joining efforts to achieve important objectives (one of which is the implementation of the Addis Ababa-Malindi flight with Ethiopian Airways).
It is time to raise our heads and look optimistically at the immediate future, hoping that the political climate will also be reassured in words and polemics.
Also in the economic sphere, Kenya can start again from what was good before the August elections: the World Bank's report on ease of business for 2018 places Kenya in third place in Africa, after small businesses like Mauritius and Rwanda, but puts it first in the continent among the great nations, ahead of two economic pillars like Morocco and South Africa.
Kenya has also gained 12 positions in the world ranking.
