We had been waiting for a long time for perfectly prepared sushi and sashimi in Malindi, at least since the characteristic Japanese Shogun restaurant at the Casino closed in 2019.
Thanks to the resourcefulness and courage to do so at this delicate moment for tourism and catering in the new restaurant "L'Oro di Lorenzo" at Mwembe Resort.
From tomorrow, Friday 9th October, during the weekend, the kitchen of the renovated restaurant, under the management of Malaika Beach, offers a choice of sushi and sashimi dishes for lunch and dinner, prepared by a chef with great experience and expertise in some of the best restaurants on the Kenyan coast, from Mombasa to Lamu.
Among the dishes on offer, in addition to the classic shrimp and vegetable tempura, there is a tempting choice of rolls in addition to the traditional nigiri and sashimi. The preparation and presentation of the dishes follows all the rules of the culinary tradition, with quality and imported products (from special rice for sushi to seaweed, from wasabi to marinated ginger). The menu will be expanded in the coming months.
All the fish proposed in the restaurant "L'Oro di Lorenzo" is cut down, so the raw fish can be tasted in the maximum safety, as well as with the original freshness and goodness.
We remind you that the fish is cut down.
The menu will be available from Friday to Sunday, both at lunch and dinner, with the possibility of take-away or delivery directly at home.
