19 more Covid-19 deaths yesterday in Kenya

Some hospitals in lack of oxygen, 17,5 percentage

There are nineteen deaths related to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in Kenya, according to the Ministry of Health.
But the most worrying figure that emerged yesterday is the low oxygen reserves in the country for the treatment of patients with serious respiratory problems.
Many health facilities have reported a lack of oxygen, as well as the equipment to use it.
This is also because in the last two months oxygen consumption has almost doubled in every facility, as confirmed by the management of the provincial hospital in Nakuru and as reported by the national newspaper Standard in a survey.
Meanwhile, yesterday, Monday 9 November, 756 new cases of Covid-19 were reported out of 4316 tampons analysed, with a percentage that rises from 15.3% on Sunday to 17.5%.
The number of people who failed to recover from the coronavirus with the last 19 deaths rises to 1130.
One more, or 1131, are currently hospitalised in various healthcare facilities across the country, while another 5,843 are in isolation and home care.
Not all the citizens in care at home are well, however, yesterday the death of a well-known police commander from Mombasa who was following treatment for his recovery from his home was announced.
In the country's public hospitals there are currently 59 patients in intensive care, 21 in ventilatory support and 33 in supplementary oxygen.
Another 90 are in other wards but still under oxygen treatment, 16 are in the high dependency unit.
