On Saturday, September 21, the International Coastal Clean Up Day is celebrated around the world.
Malindi, through the Kenya Wildlife Service, the governmental body of the Ministry of Tourism that oversees the natural parks of land and sea, also takes part in this major global initiative.
The cleaning of the town's coastline, from the beach of the Ocean Beach Resort to that of Jacaranda Bay, will take place from 8 am (for the wicked I meet at the Ocean Beach Resort) and then flow into the entrance of the Marine Park.
Tomorrow there will be further updates on the route and related initiatives.
