Nairobi is one of the 100 most welcoming cities in the world, according to a ranking drawn up by one of the most important travel and tourism websites, the Dutch Travelbird.
This survey was carried out through the votes (from one to ten, as once at school) of as many as fifteen thousand journalists and travel reporters, according to seven different criteria concerning safety, development, the willingness of people and serenity in living there, as well as for its accessibility, environmental impact and tourist possibilities.
Nairobi ranked ninety-three in front of a great African metropolis such as Cairo and all the other capitals of the continent.
In fact, only Marrakesh (forty-seventh) and Johannesburg (eightieth) who are not capitals, ranked better than Nairobi.
The fact that it is clear is that there are only four out of a hundred cities in Africa, in this special ranking in which Singapore stands out, in front of Stockholm and Helsinki and where the first Italian city, Milan, is only sixtyth and Rome has even fallen to position number 71.

Where it is absolutely deficient, compared to many other destinations on the globe, it is in people's poverty (obviously the slums play, as happens to other similar realities such as Rio De Janeiro and Johannesburg itself) and in micro-crime.
In any case, this is the first time that the capital of Kenya has been ranked among the top 100 internationally.
