Matatu collided with bus on Mombasa-Malindi: 6 dead

A matatu unleashed at hig speed inexplicably into the lane opposite the one of its relevance crashed into an Emirates bus coming in the opposite direction and did not make time to avoid the impact, causing six deaths including the driver of the same vehicle.
All this happened on the afternoon of Monday 13th January on the Mombasa-Malindi at the height of the village of Midas, just before the crossing between Gede and Watamu.
According to witnesses' reconstructions, i.e. the driver of the bus coming from Malindi and the 60 passengers who suffered only minor injuries, the driver of the matatu lost control of the vehicle launched at an insane speed in a dangerous curve after a straight line and was unable to put it back on track before the impact with the bus. There is also the hypothesis of a sickness or a stroke of sleep.
"I've done the matatu headlights several times, but he hasn't moved," the bus driver told a local journalist.
The injured were transported to Malindi Sub County Hospital and their condition is to be verified, some would be serious. The bodies of the six victims were taken to the morgue in Malindi.
