"I decided to reopen Rosada Beach out of passion, because I believe in the recovery of tourism in Kenya and because for 20 years Rosada has been one of the symbols of the pleasure of visiting Malindi".
The Monegasque entrepreneur Carlo Falco, who took over the elegant restaurant-bar-disco with beach service in Silversand a year and a half ago and, after having relaunched it in a big way, had to abruptly stop everything and close down.
"At first I decided not to reopen, waiting for the end of the restrictions and the return of international tourism," explains Falco, "but we can't wait any longer and it doesn't matter about earnings and further investments, we have to give a strong signal of commitment and desire to attract people to this wonderful location. Malindi deserves facilities of a certain type and services suited to the needs of travellers who will increasingly belong to the elite of those who can and want to afford a special holiday. The intention is to broaden our horizons more and more to attract customers from all over the world, trusting that the Christmas period has been a springboard and that 2021 will coincide with the return of the confidence of those who love to travel and enjoy special moments".
The philosophy of quality and not "living for the day", shared by other entrepreneurs who have experiences in Monte Carlo (Flavio Briatore and his Billionaire, Roberto Lenzi and Paparemo Beach in Watamu, just to name two), is much more than a sign of hope, it is a tangible move that is good for the image of the destination and returns to offer one of the fixed points of relaxation and fun in Malindi.
The reopening of Rosada will take place in the next few days, with many novelties in terms of management, menu and appointments.
