MOURNING
12-05-2020 by Freddie del Curatolo
We affectionately greet another old compatriot who had chosen Malindi as a "buen retiro" to spend six months a year of holiday in the tranquillity of the Kenyan coast after having worked a lifetime as an entrepreneur in the mechanical sector.
Salvatore Giordano, from Bitonto, Puglia, died peacefully at the age of 91 in his villa in Casuarina, Bahati House, where he had been staying for 11 years with his wife Rosanna and daughter Vittoria. Giordano, under the Covid-19 provisions will be remembered privately today by relatives and a few close friends, but many friends of the community of Malindi remember his kindness and generosity. We at Malindikenya.net join in the thought of those who knew him. May the land of Africa be light for you, Salvatore.
