The Kenian Civil Aviation is about to open to the use of drones for non-military reasons.
Soon in the country there will be the possibility of easily acquiring licences to use the shooting aircraft for tourist, private or even utility purposes.
This is reported in the online newspaper "Business Daily".
In the meantime, however, fines will always be high for those who use drones without requiring regular permits.
It ranges from a minimum of one million shillings (about 8 thousand euros) for lack of authorisations, to five million and six months imprisonment if drones fly over military zones, governments or manoeuvres considered suspicious or offensive are carried out.
In a general sense, Kenya is now starting to allow the non-military use of drones,"said KCAA Director-General Gilbert Kibi at the same Business Daily," the aviation information circular will soon be published and drones operations will be allowed in Kenya. Our country will thus align itself with other African nations that have allowed the limited use of drones".
