Covid-19 Kenya: percentage lower day by day

Constant curve flattening in the country

06-09-2020 by redazione

Increasingly low percentage in Kenya between swabs performed and Covid-19 positive cases.
In the last 24 hours, 3.7% was recorded, with only 136 cases out of 3,707 swabs.
After the caution statements of recent days, the World Health Organization is also considering that Kenya is experiencing its downward phase of the pandemic.
With the country completely open, except in the evening, the accessible borders and the little willingness (and possibility) of citizens to respect the rules, especially outside the capital Nairobi, the data seem very reassuring, even if the Government for now does not consider it necessary to go back on its decisions, applying the state of emergency that provides for a curfew from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., the closure of bars and nightclubs and a ban on the sale of alcohol in restaurants, as well as their consumption in public.
The cases found in six and a half months have exceeded 35000. With the last five deaths reported on Saturday, September 5, the deaths related to Coronavirus in Kenya are now 594.
Another 99 patients were discharged, 64 were at home and were receiving personalized care with home medical assistance, the others were hospitalized in health facilities.
