OPINIONS

That in Italy we had gone mad and at the same time re-citralized (or vice versa) many people had realized this well before the pandemic.
I am one of these, who, even though he has to live and work in the industrial north, in that less chaotic but no less depressing horn between Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia Romagna, has found his happy oasis for years, escaping two or three times a year to Kenya.
I don't have a "girlfriend" and I don't look for easy adventures, as it was immediately rumored in my country not small but of small people, I have no business except what I made a local boy start on which, as an experienced resident taught me, I don't have any expectations.
The business, however, has been going on for three years and I have a small part of it myself. Every year I dive into my passions, mountain biking and triathlon, if I can and the finances allow it, I go on safari in a different park, I lie in the sun for hours on the sandbanks of Jacaranda Bay and eat endless fish, but also chicken and chips that here are the best in the world.
Let's go back to Italy with no hope and my vent valve.
If they don't reopen the borders, I risk going crazy too (maybe I've been senile for a long time).
Thanks to Kenya I haven't become one of the many ghosts around me, who complain about everything and are very good at finding scapegoats other than themselves and their passivity.
It's the fault of Conte, of Salvini, of Di Maio... of racists, of the goodists, of conspirators, of those who open up to immigrants, of those who prostrate themselves with Europe and so on.
Never anyone who with a bit of humility looks at himself and understands that he is no longer the master of his own life.
At least I know that, we live in a present that is much worse than the future I dreamed of as a boy.
But I'm still here, I still have dreams and needs! I don't want to go senile in this crazy Italy!
Please give me back Watamu, Malindi, Timboni, Gede and Mijomboni as soon as possible, with all the shrewdness, social distances and so on.
Will it cost more to fly? I'll have one less safari.
But I can't give up life and live it as much as I dream about it.
Because there's only one, like in Kenya.
