A unique opportunity throughout Kenya! A limited number of places are available in a workshop in Malindi to learn in three days the basics of the art of stone sculpture from the internationally acknowledged Zimbabwean artist Fungayi Mwarowa.
Stone sculptures from Zimbabwe are considered as one of the most remarkable art originating in Africa. They are in line with the century-old artistic tradition that inspired great artists such as Pablo Picasso and are found in galleries worldwide.
As part of a social project of the Italian of excellence "Maxlife Proart" and Malindikenya.net, the sculptor will be at the Ndoro Sculpture Garden in Malindi from 27 -30 December to teach local children the art of sculpture. From 2-4 January six adults will have the chance of taking part in a workshop given by Fungayi. For three days (five hours of practice session each) the charge will be Kshs. 27,000 including lunch. At the end the pieces will be exhibited during an invitation-only party on January 5th.
