From May 27th, anyone in Kenya has a boiler of more than 100 liters, so especially hotels, condos and businesses will be considered outlawed if their hot water plant is not solar powered.
The law, which was set last year, becomes effective in just over a month and there will be no extensions, as according to the Energy Regulatory Commission, enough time has been granted to rule.
The law is part of the environmental initiatives of the country, which has already made important decisions, such as the abolition of plastic bags, which except for extensions, will begin next October.
