25 weekly flights from next December 20th from Nairobi to Malindi and return coinciding with the Christmas holidays and year-end.
Program that will probably last for three weeks. The first news of an increase in flights from Nairobi came from Jambojet airline, owned by Kenya Airways owned company that for several months has finally replaced the noble but troubled Kenyan national airline on the route from the capital to the coastal town. Jambojet announced in recent days that will lead to 16 weekly flights to and from Malindi.
This is due both to the massive Bookings for Malindi, Watamu and Mambrui (but also Kilifi) and the option of same-day connections for those coming from Europe or the Middle East. Considering the traffic problems of Mombasa, sometimes it can be cheaper to fly to Nairobi (as well as Turkish and Ethiopian, which in this case are not even direct flights to Kilimanjaro, there are other low-cost airlines that depart from Italy and they make a only call, such as Egypt Air from Rome, Emirates and Saudia from Rome and Milan, as well as Qatar which announced shortly the Doha-Mombasa flight but at Christmas it will still be only about Nairobi)
To 16 flights a week Jambojet will add at least 7 540 flights of the company and at least two of the low cost Sax, with calls in Lamu and Mombasa.
On the respective websites of the companies there are already all times, you can book and assess the compatibility with flights from Europe to any "flying" coincidences, to get to Malindi in a reasonably short time, without having to deal with crazy amounts of charter or risk making trips from 12 hours up.
