An entire day, from afternoon to late night, to show Malindi the artistic spirit of many young people and local creativity.
The first edition of this year's "Malindi International Art Extravaganza" will be held from 3 PM in the open space of the National Museum of Malindi (behind Uhuru Garden).
The event, with the subtitle "African art and culture exposure for unity, growth and developement" has been organized by the promoter and hip-hop musician Katoi Wa Tabaka, always in the front row when it comes to promoting local initiatives as a sign of culture, creativity and the recovery of traditions.
In addition to performances of acrobats, dancers and singers, the outer space of the Museum will be colored by stalls, local handicraft exhibitions and extemporaneous interventions of anyone who wants to propose inventive and originality.
"This event wants to bring young people closer to culture and art, which can be vehicles to promote and at the same time revitalize Malindi tourism," explains Katoi Wa Tabaka. The idea is to be able to organize events like this the last end Week of every month. We also expect local tourists and residents to create that cultural exchange and the curiosity that underpin the growth of a community like ours. "
The entrance at "Malindi International Extravaganza" is free of charge.
