New life for the old, mythical "tusker baridi sani"!
After the meeting between Diageo liquor multinationals boss and Vice President William Ruto, Kenya's government announced the construction of the largest brewery in Kenya and all over Kenya, East Africa, in Kisumu on Lake Victoria.
This is a project of 15 billion shillings (about 140 million euros), which in part will be funded by Diageo itself, which holds the majority of the shares of East African Breweries Limited, the national state-owned beer company.
The producers of Tusker, who since 1922 have the monopoly of cereal-based alcoholic drinks, will expand their market throughout the continent and will expand their production at home to other products that are currently imported.
Diageo International, in addition to Kenyan beer, owns dozens of spirits, including Johnnie Walker and J & B, as well as Vodka Smirnoff and other smaller and lesser-known brands of whiskey, brandy and other liqueurs that can soon be Products directly in Kenya, coming to have competitive prices on the market.
