After months of forced closure due to the pandemic, good news for those who enjoy Watamu and its facilities.
The Tamu Restaurant, one of the most enchanting terraces on the sea used as a restaurant, with beach and sunbeds available in front of the Crystal Bay inlet, has reopened these days and offers its specialities in a truly unique and special environment.
No sushi and sashimi for the time being, but new and rich proposals of international cuisine, with an eye to fusion dishes and Indian cuisine, also to satisfy the tourism which, although not as numerous as in the past years, will not be few and composed also of Kenyans as well as small groups from many European, African and Asian countries.
A day at Tamu, in the peaceful oasis of the Cristal Bay resort, which is currently open as a Bed&Breakfast due to the veto on Italian tour operators travelling to Kenya, including relaxation and sun on the beach and an excellent lunch, is certainly one of Watamu's "musts". But even a dinner at sunset, upon reservation, is highly recommended!
