Risk of collapse, County wants Oasis to evacuate

An order of the County of Kilifi Government has established that the Oasis residential complex of Malindi, in the Silversand area, would be a dangerous place for those who live and work there, because at risk collapse.
The request of the authorities is to evacuate the residents, owners and renters and then eventually, demolish the residence has 184 apartments, most offices and shops on the street side, a swimming pool and large garden overlooking the Silversand beach.
On Monday, the Oasis residents have protested vociferously, as reported by the national newspaper The Star, rejecting the allegations and presenting an expert report according to which the residence would not be absolutely at risk collapse and asking to check any connections with the former manager of the structure which may have influenced the story.
According to the newspaper, the order states that "the building was found in poor conditions that constitute a danger to the occupants of the apartments." Notice that is sent back to the sender from condominiums, according to which only a small part of the apartments, however empty, would be in bad shape.
However the order of the County of Kilifi and there'll be the judge make a decision soon.
