The most prestigious international magazine (and tv channel) of Nature has decided that the Maasai Mara is the second place to visit absolutely in 2019.
The ranking, published by the magazine and also available on the online site (CLICK HERE TO ACCEPT THE LINK) takes into account twenty places on the planet. Before the Kenyan national reserve, only Japan, in its intimacy, is ranked.
At the top, behind the Maasai Mara, there are also Havana in Cuba, Mount Everest, the Hawaiian archipelago, the forest of Amazzonia, the Australian Great Barrier Reef, the American Grand Canyon and Stonehenge in England.
This is the reason why National Geographic has recommended the Maasai Mara as a "must" destination this year.
"The golden plains of the Maasai Mara are like pages in an African fairytale book. This wild corner of Kenya not only houses the iconic annual Great Migration, but also a variety of approaches to wildlife that will impress even the most demanding lovers of Africa. First, fasten your seatbelt for a savannah trip for sightings of hyenas, wildebeests, zebras, elephants and even the rare white rhino before retiring to one of the lodges that contribute to the protection and conservation of animal species and offer guests a true taste of Maasai culture. And then there is the Kenyan sunset, considered one of the most beautiful in the world, to be enjoyed with a drink in hand and worries temporarily forgotten. With this, and much more, it's hard not to fall in love with the so-called "hakuna matata" lifestyle".

The ranking has been drawn up by the most important associations for the protection of the world's environment: the Kenyan reserve of Maasai Mara has been considered one of the fifteen wonders of the world to be safeguarded.
