Naomi and Madonna testimonial of Kenya tourism

The two stars doing promotion in this particular moment

13-01-2021 by redazione

Two exceptional testimonials to relaunch Kenya in a difficult, if not impossible, period for tourism. The two American stars Naomi Campbell and Madonna Louise Ciccone are not only in Kenya where they have opted for a long stay showing off the beauties of this country, but each in their own way have decided to promote it.
Naomi is an avid visitor to the country, and particularly to Malindi, a destination she has been in love with since she was Flavio Briatore's girlfriend and decided to open the "Lion in the Sun" spa with him at the beginning of the millennium.
Partners, husbands and wives have moved on, but the friendship between the still-fascinating supermodel and Mr Billionaire continues and, above all, there is still plenty of pleasure in visiting Kenya.
Kenya's Minister of Tourism, Najib Balala, took advantage of this feeling and asked Campbell to become "Kenya's Tourist Ambassador" in order to make the country's wonders known around the world.
Naomi said she was happy to have such an honorary role, but also asked (as Flavio himself did for many years, without excessive results) the Kenyan government to improve services and infrastructure, especially in 'her' Malindi.
With a leap of almost 1000 kilometres, we move from the coast to the magical land of the Samburu, where the pop star Madonna arrived last week from Malawi, the land of her four adopted sons.
The "Material Girl" posted a video on her Instagram account in a village in the Maralal area.
"Spending time with the Samburu tribe is always an honour. They are nomadic warriors and here the men sing, dance and tell stories to get the attention of their women," she wrote.
Other shots see the 62-year-old pop star on safari with her 26-year-old boyfriend Ahlamalik Williams, with whom she later posed in Baringo, when they visited a traditional village of the Pokot tribe. A tour with an ethnic flavour that drew attention to one of Kenya's most intriguing and socio-culturally evocative areas.
