To ward off the great famine that is going through the weakest bands of Kenya and the lack of corn flour that has been plagued by the country for days, President Kenyatta has decided to fund the "smooth" reserves and buy corn to be grated directly from (In particular, 30,000 tons of customs have been cleared from Mexico) and put the "corn flour" at a very low price for the running time: Kshs. 47 kilo of kshs. 90 for the two kilogram packaging.
The decision was made with the Ministry of Agriculture also following the criticisms made by most humanitarian organizations about the upswing by the big Kenyan distributors. "The millers," announced Kenyatta, "will have to sell this basic food at a state-subsidized price until inventories are exhausted."
Meanwhile, the arrival of rains on most parts of the country is growing the new crop for which many families will have their own needs and large producers will return hopes for more humane prices.
