There is Gianni, who once in a while we talk on whatsapp, sends me money for a coffee from Italy because 'it is as if we had taken it together, and today it is on me'.
There is Rossano, who unfailingly sends me 1000 shillings every first of the month, and it is nice to start the month knowing that a reader is thinking of you and thanking you for what you are going to do in the next few weeks.
There is Rita, who often asks me for explanations for every doubt, but in the end we always talk about something else and we get to know each other a little better. There's Gianfranco, with whom we confront each other because of sometimes divergent ideas but with whom we have a relationship of great mutual trust.
There's Franco, who sends me something 'to save the baobabs'. I wish I could save them, but I try, just as I still try to stand by telling you about Kenya.
There are the long-standing Kenyans, such as Emanuela, Stefano, Marco, Vincenzo, Angelo, Adriano, Franco, Luigi, Mariola, Giampiero, Betty, Alessio, Marina, the Armando's, the Valentina's, Maurizio, Annelise, Roberto, Massimo, Annamaria, Gianpaolo who appreciate my work and honour me with their esteem, the more recent ones, from Lorenza to Gianluca, from Dario to Daniele, Antonio, Raffaele, Giorgio, Franco, Valentina, Rita, Bruno and Loredana who know how to give me a hand, Carlo who has done even too much or like Fernanda and Alfredo, Fulvia and Enzo, who are as if they had always been in my world, other than malindikenya. net.
There are the "inmates" in Italy who thank me, even if only with a virtual "pizza" to keep them always informed, like Olivio, Cristina, Marzia, Paolo, Patrizia, Pierluigi, Maura, Novella, Renzo, Paola, Nicolò, Anna, Federico, Teresio, Donato, Michele, Deborah...
There are those who come and go and know how important it is to have the portal as a point of reference, such as Lino, the fourth Valentina, Manuela, Carlo, Riccardo, Elio, Parvin, Silvia, Ambrogio, Luciana, Georgeta, Carlo, Andrea, Michele, Stefano, Paola and Anna, Francesco, Giorgio, Gianni, Silvana, Paolo, Renzo, Giovanni, Maurizio and Simonetta, Patrizia, Angela, Cesare, Alberto and Antonietta, Giampiero, Roberto, Ela, Roberta, Ermanno, Marco, Maurizio.
And then there are the Kenyans and British who read me and know me, Kate, Ann, Joan, Deborah, Crispin, Shabbir, Alì, Amon, Philip.
And finally there are those I have never seen, who I do not even know virtually because they simply read me and have decided to support me. 
They are many and I respect their privacy.
And if I have forgotten some of the names of those I know, it means that I still respect their privacy (and for the others I can always say that they are fictitious names, invented for the occasion ... but rest assured, I do not do surnames!).
Some of them write to me to ask if the bank transfer has arrived, others sneer "I paid, now I can break your balls for at least a year, right?", many of them add so many compliments to the donation that I could live only on those for a while, and take advantage of it to lose twenty or so extra kilos.
By now you have understood that I am talking about the readers of malindikenya.net who, since last August, have responded to the call for help in order to be able to continue offering the service that for 12 years has kept Italians (and others) informed about Kenya and promotes it for those who live there, who want to get closer to it, who dream about it or who are looking for information about it.
Not only were we the first, but we are the only ones who do this professionally, on a daily basis and with passion. For this reason alone (not because it is the only source of income for my wife and I) we deserve to go on as long as we can.
In this dreadful year in which we have lost 90% of our funds, linked almost entirely to tourism, we have had to ask you for a sort of virtual subscription out of the goodness of your hearts.
Today we are celebrating the hundredth 'selfless' reader who has donated from a minimum of 3 euros to a maximum of 500. Thanks to you, we have survived for six months.
Now we need at least another hundred like you to make the same gesture, and considering that we have 4,000 readers a day, about 70% of whom are regulars, I'd say you can do it.
Obviously, apart from the readers, there are also entrepreneurs who have interests, activities and lives in Kenya who, despite the difficulties, have not stopped supporting us. There are the hoteliers Roberto and Pasquale, who you just have to call at the beginning of January and they always answer "the cheque is ready", the two Bruno who help us even though they are closed, there is Pasqualino who you don't need to remind him of the deadlines, after a while his Mpesa arrives, Carlo, Aldo and Antonio who always come in the end.
There are the restaurateurs Maurizio, Antonella and Dino who, as soon as they collect something, honour the publicity we continue to give them; there are Riccardo, Francesca, Marco and Patricia who do it above all because they are true friends and there is someone I hope will join them, along with a small upturn in the economy.
And there is a historic Italian association that has always been active in Kenya, Co.mi.tes., which has decided to support us for a year in an active and important way.
We still need you, and we will always need you, but in the meantime we would like to thank those who have been with us over the last few months and have allowed us to move forward.
And we are waiting for all the others to thank them!
